WHY THIS WORKSHOP?

As one of the very few Drag Kings in Germany offering workshops since 2018, I provide a unique opportunity to share the fascination and fun of transformation. It’s a chance to pass on the techniques and knowledge that have personally advanced and taught me so much. This workshop combines acting, role work, and diverse expression – a rare and valuable experience. Makeup techniques are also a crucial part, and I love seeing others transform in a short time.

Transforming together, experimenting, and being surprised not only brings joy but also personal growth. The workshop promotes empowerment and has a political motivation. My goal is to inspire afab (assigned female at birth) individuals to rediscover themselves and spark curiosity and playfulness. The workshop encourages play, experimentation, and the joy of shared experiences. Community building and a group experience are central aspects.

HOW DOES THE WORKSHOP WORK?

The workshop consists of both theoretical and practical parts. We engage with clichés, make them tangible, and then break them down in creative ways. There is plenty of room for personal development.

WHAT TO EXPECT

I demonstrate how to do makeup, build a penis, what to do with breasts, and how to apply a suitable beard. You will have a physical transformation, work with your voice, and learn exercises and methods from acting. You will have the opportunity to bring your own character to life and enjoy a unique group experience. It is a space for development, transcending social norms, and shedding habitual behaviors. The workshop makes ingrained norms tangible and offers space to rediscover yourself.

I provide a didactic framework that I learned in theater pedagogy, and I bring my own experience and expertise from stage performances and previous workshops. I have dedicated a lot of time and attention to researching and studying people to offer the best learning experience. Workshops like this are rare!
